71st Independence Day celebrated in Sargodha

The main ceremony was held at Company Bagh Sargodha in which Commissioner Sargodha Zafar Iqbal, Deputy Commissioner Muzaffar Sial and DPO Sargodha Hassan Raza Khan were chief uests. The ceremony started with the recitation from the Holy Quran and Siren voice at 8:58 am. The flag hosting ceremony was held at 9 am while the national anthem of Pakistan was played to the tunes.

Commissioner Sargodha Zafar Iqbal addressed the ceremony. Later, gifts were distributed among prisoners and hospital patients. Addressing the ceremony, the Commissioner paid rich tribute to the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and said that for making prosperous, developed and peaceful Pakistan the whole nation would have to work with complete integrity, harmony and national obligation.

He said, "We have to forget our personal interests for the sake of national interests for achieving real progress, prosperity and making peaceful Pakistan." On this occasion, national songs were played. A large number of schoolchildren, parents, youth and old citizens participated in the ceremony.
