Addressing a presser at the DIG- West office, he claimed that the Gulberg police station team during routine patrolling intercepted a suspected vehicle along with a motorbike, the accused in the vehicle and motorbike resorted to firing upon police team. The police recovered 7 TT pistols along with 36 rounds and 6 snatched mobile phones. The police also recovered a pistol snatched by the gang from a security guard of a private company in Bahadurabad area.

The SSP said that the accused were involved in street crimes in the areas including Gulshan Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Korangi, New Karachi and others.

Meanwhile, a police team of New Karachi during routine checking arrested three accused of street crimes and recovered a 9 mm pistol, a 30 bore pistol and a lifted motorcycle.
