A retired professor of University of Sindh has appealed to the Chief of Army Staff, DG Rangers, DG NAB and DG FIA for rendering him justice against land mafia who allegedly occupied his residential plot in Hyderabad with support of a sitting Sindh minister.
Professor Ghulam Hyder Jakhrani, addressing a press conference at Hyderabad Press Club on Sunday, said that since British rule, he had a residential plot at Deh Foujgah whose value is in millions of rupees, adding that some years ago, some influential bureaucrats in collusion with land mafia got issued fake revenue records and occupied his plot illegally.
He alleged that it was all done with the support of Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, adding that Engineer Ghulam Mustafa Dahari and Superintendent Engineer Mithal Abbasi had also got their bungalows constructed on the plot.
He said that the court also gave a verdict in his favour and declared revenue record as fake possessed by them and directed them to vacate the plot.
He added that former commissioner Shafiq Khosa also cancelled the fake records while declaring the plot his property and similarly, the Cantonment board also gave a decision in his favour.
Rather than vacating the plot, they were threatening him and his family to face dire consequences if they held a press conference or took any step against them, he alleged.
He strongly appealed to the Chief of Army Staff, DG Rangers, DG NAB and DG FIA to help them vacate his plot from this influential land mafia and the PPP minister and save their lives.
