17 Sep, 2015

Secretary Health Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mustaq Jadoon, Co-ordinator Emergency Operation Center KP Akbar Khan and representatives of partner organisations visited union council Pajagi to monitor the three-day anti-polio drive that is currently underway in the country. Talking to media persons on the occasion, Jadoon underscored the need for vaccination of children of internally displaced persons (IDPs) as they were either the carrier or recipient of virus.
The Secretary Health appreciated the efforts of the field staff and emphasised on the importance of vaccination with a view to protect children against the crippling disease that has disabled 32 children so far in 2015. He said that the provincial government was fully committed to polio eradication despite its limited resources.
