Canadian HC meets Sandhu

Canadian High Commissioner in Pakistan, Heather Cruden met Punjab Minister for Minorities Affairs and Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sandhu on Wednesday to discuss matters of mutual interest. The minister informed him about measures taken by the Provincial Department for Minorities Affairs and Human Rights for the welfare and betterment of minorities.
He claimed that up to Rs 463 million had been set aside in the current budget for the Minorities Development Fund and Rs 22 million for scholarships to students. He said minority advisory committees had been set up at the district level and representation had been given to all minorities in these committees.
