Pakistan Peoples' Party Punjab President, Manzoor Wattoo has urged party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto to adopt an aggressive stance against the government and lead the opposition. His comments came in a speech to a workers' gathering at the Bilawal House Lahore on Saturday. "You are here when farmers are in trouble; traders are on the streets and the government is all set to lay off party workers from the public sector organisations," he said.
He told Bilawal, "All these segments of society are looking towards you." He recalled that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had established the party in Lahore and secured more seats in the Punjab than in Sindh. "Workers are the assets of the party. You should lead them." He also held the govt responsible for power and gas outages and an unaffordable power tariff. He earlier offered a Punjabi turban to the party chairman.
