Allied Bank has donated Rs 10 million to Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) for the expansion of its emergency block, which would enhance its present capacity from 14 beds to 100 beds. In a simple ceremony held at PIC, Tahir Yaqoob Bhatti, Chief Commercial Banking Group, Allied Bank, presented the donation cheque to Professor Dr Nadeem Hayat Malik, Chief Executive, PIC alongside Aamir Fayyaz Sheikh, Trustee, Friends of PIC.
On this occasion, Aamir Fayyaz Sheikh thanked the Allied Bank for their generous contribution towards a vital project which would help treat the ever-increasing load of heart patients free of cost, with care and facilities comparable to any private sector hospital.
Tahir Yaqoob Bhatti, Chief Commercial Banking Group, Allied Bank, said the Bank was fully aware and committed towards its social responsibilities, whether it is financial inclusion through banking services or assistance in the fields of healthcare, education and sports. He assured PIC of Allied Bank's continued support, also offering banking services at the hospital, including installation of an ATM machine at the under-construction emergency block.-PR
