IGP suspends two officials for violating rules

-The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Nasir Khan Durrani suspended a DSP and an Inspector on charges of violating rules and procedures and receiving illegal gratification in an abduction case and further ordered departmental inquiry against them. A complaint was preferred to the IGP alleging that the former SHO PS Sheikh Maltoon Inspector Bashir Dad (now DSP Akora Khattak) and Inspector Asif Sharif (former SHO PS Badaber) kept one Shakir in illegal custody and later on booked him in a minor case after receiving illegal gratification.
Taking cognizance of the application of the complainant, the IGP directed an inquiry into the matter. The inquiry officer found the said officials guilty of violating rules and charges of corruption. In the light of the findings and recommendations of the inquiry officer, both the two officials have been suspended with immediate effect and further departmental inquiry ordered against them.
