Dr Khalid elected president of ABM, LGH

Professor of Neuro Surgery Dr Khalid Mahmood has been elected as President Anjuman-e-Behboodi-e-Marizan, Lahore General Hospital for the term of next three years. Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital Professor Khalid Mahmood, who is pioneer of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) method of treatment in Pakistan, will be the head of 15 members elected body of ABM, LGH.
Other newly elected office bearers include Shamim Ahmed Malik as Vice President 1st, Muhammad Aslam Malik as Vice President 2nd, Aleem Malik as Secretary Finance, Mrs. Saira Rehman as General Secretary, Mrs. Rahat Shaukat as Joint Secretary and Khalid Mahmood as Information Secretary.
Patients Welfare Association's executive members are included Sheikh Habibullah, Shafqat Elahi Malik, Mrs. Shaila Javed, Mrs. Tabassam Nazir, Khalid Kifah, Haji Sanaullah, Chaudhry Nazir Nutt and Naveed Ishaq.
Newly elected President Professor Khalid Mahmood and other office bearers expressed their resolve to serve the ailing humanity with full dedication to fulfil the confidence which they have been entrusted through this election. Professor Khalid Mahmood said that by virtue of his designation, he is duty bound to provide all possible medical facilities to patients and this is such a duty by performing it we can be beneficiaries both in this world and hereafter. He said that there are sufficient arrangements for poor and deserving patients at LGH and they will be further improved with the passage of time.
