Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant-General Naveed Zaman has said that Pakistan Army knows well how to protect our homeland and pledged to give befitting response to India as like in 65's war in case of any aggression. He said this while addressing a ceremony held here at Fortress Stadium remembering martyrs of 65's war on Sunday.
The Golden Jubilee Day was observed with traditional fervour and the nation paid homage to the martyrs and victors who rendered supreme sacrifices in defence of the motherland.
Lieutenant-General Naveed Zaman said Defence Day reminded the nation of unprecedented sacrifices of the armed forces to safeguard the country.
Paying rich tribute to the 'Shuhda and Ghazies' of the battle, he said the nation could not forget the sacrifices of Pakistan Army, Rangers, Police and civil society.
"On Golden Jubilee Defence Day, we want to inform the chronic enemy that our Jawans had always responded strongly and they will maintain the same spirit in case of any aggression", he added. Lieutenant-General Naveed Zaman said that India had always assisted our internal enemies and he warned the neighbouring country to stop this practice now. He said that Zarb-e-Azb was running successfully and cleaning terrorists and facilitators.
