Masoor, barley prices fall on grain market

Masoor and barley prices were down on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Masoor Canada low type was lower by Rs 200 to Rs 9000 and the best type shed Rs 100 to Rs 9500, Masoor Dall Canada inferior quality lost Rs 200 to Rs 10600 and the good type was up by Rs 100 to Rs 11200, Barley Sindh and Mardan low types were down by Rs 100 to Rs 3600 while the superior quality was unchanged at Rs 3800, Gur low type dropped by Rs 200 to Rs 7500 and the good variety was unchanged at Rs 8200. Other commodities sustained overnight levels in the process of trading, they said.
On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh new low type lost Rs 55 to Rs 1425 and inferior quality was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 1450, they said. Prices were unchanged on the rice and grams sectors, they said.
