143 tehsils of Punjab: land record & management system completed

Provincial Parliamentary Secretary, Rana Muhammad Arshad Jutt has said that Land Record Management & Information System has been completed and services are being provided to the people in 143 tehsils of the province under this system. He said that Punjab is the first province of the country where land record has been computerised and data of fifty million people has been saved which is a historic step.
Talking to a delegation of students, Rana Arshad said that this project has been completed at a cost of Rs 11 billion. Punjab government has started mega project of clean drinking water from the four districts of Bahawalpur division of South Punjab, survey is continuing in ten districts and 70 billion rupees have been allocated for this programme
He said that solid steps have been taken for the promotion of information technology. Hotspots of WiFi are being set up at educational institutions, hospitals, parks and other places of Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan. He said that the work on the project of eliminating industrial pollution is continuing in Lahore and other cities. Rs 300 million have been provided for shifting tanneries out of Sialkot city.
