Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Monday told his ministers to stop giving irresponsible statements. After consulting his colleagues for an hour and a half, PM told the federal ministers not to issue irresponsible statements. In a high level meeting headed by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday afternoon, it was decided that no minister will be allowed to give any irresponsible statement. Federal ministers Ishaq Dar, Chaudhry Nisar, Pervaiz Rashid, Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Special Advisor Tariq Fatemi attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed the security situation of the country, Pak-India relations and National Action Plan. According to sources, the issue of Senator Mushahidullah's interview with British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) was also discussed in the meeting and the effects of his resignation on civil-military relations were also talked upon. Sources claim that PM told the federal ministers to stop giving irresponsible statements and said that keeping Pakistan on the path to progress is highly important. Sources said that the meeting also examined the situation following the martyrdom of Home Minister Punjab Colonel Shuja Khanzada (Retd) in a bomb blast on Sunday.
