Parachinar residents: KP chief minister directs provision of graveyard

KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has directed provision of land for graveyard for residents of Parachinar (Kurram Agency) residing in Peshawar, Kohat and Abbottabad. Besides provision of two new ambulances for district headquarters hospital, Batagram, he also ordered the repairing of three already existing ambulances with immediate effect.
He issued these directives while talking to a delegation of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat here in CM House. The delegation was comprised of provincial president, Maulana Ata Mohammad Dilshani and general secretary, Maulana Rub Nawaz Tahir. The delegation apprised the chief minister of health, education and environment related problems in Batagram, Haripur, Peshawar and some other districts.
Talking to the delegation, the Chief Minister told that the provincial government has evolved such policies and laws, which has made political interference in education, health, revenue, police and other departments impossible. These measures, he said has helped improved the performance of these departments, which is acknowledged at every level.
The chief minister said that a proposal for cut in vacations of public sector schools is under consideration and is part of the efforts for bringing improvement in the standard of education.
He said that 500 more new doctors are being recruited in health department, while in future, all doctors and paramedics will be recruited and their services will be made not transferable, so there will be no shortage of medical staff in hospitals.
Regarding losses from flood in River Daur, Haripur, he said for minimising the possibilities losses from flood, the cleansing of streams and nullahs from encroachments across the province is must. He said that streams, nullahs and rivers will be demarcated to remove encroachment on them.
The chief minister also stressed need for abolition of the trend of the closure of highways for protests, religious gatherings and processions to protect general public from hardships. He urged the religious clerics to play their due role for maintenance of law & order, religious tolerance and promotion of sectarian and religious harmony in the country.
