Key commander of Ghaffar Zikri gang arrested

Amir aka 'Dhobi' a key commander of Ghaffar Zikri group of Lyari gang war was arrested by police in an encounter in the jurisdictions of Kalri police station, here on Sunday. According to police sources, Amir Dhobi confessed to have killed Rasheed Tension, a close aid of the gangster Rehman Baloch. Besides, he also confessed to have kidnapped for Rs 5 million ransom a man belonging to Agha Khani community along with his driver.
The accused during the course of initial investigation revealed that the Ghaffar Zikri had contacted Nabil Ghbol on internet mobile some days ago. During discussion, Gabol asked him (Ghaffar Zikri) to disturb the law and order in the already crime-infested town of Lyari. Police while quoting the arrested accused said: "Nabil Gabol also promised to give cash, weapons, Kalashnikovs, hand grenade, awan bomb and LMGs to Zikri. Gabol had told Zikri that Rauf Nazim will provide him cash for disturbing the law and order situation, police quoted him as telling. Police added that further investigation was underway and they were expecting some sensational revelations.
