KP governor for uplifting of socio-economic sectors in Fata

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan said that more funds had been allocated to Fata Development Authority (FDA) for uplifting of economic and social sectors in Fata, adding on the successful and timely completion those development projects would not only bring progress in FATA but would also raise the standard of life of the people of Fata. He said "giving training to the poor people of Fata will not only provide employment opportunities but it will also be helpful in de-escalating militancy from Fata."
The Governor while giving directives to the FDA officials emphasised that pending development works should be completed as soon as possible so that people of Fata could be benefited both economically and socially, and said delays in developmental activities will not be tolerated anymore.
Moreover, he directed to make focused and effective efforts for the completion of the pending works. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of FDA on Thursday at Governor House, Peshawar. A detailed briefing was given to Governor by FDA Chief Executive Fahad Wazir regarding the achievements of FDA. During briefing, the Governor was apprised about the achievements in skill developments among people of Fata. It was mentioned "during last one year, 16,264 tribal people have been trained in various sectors, in which 10,300 youth and 1,875 women are included. 344 youth imparted on job training in various organisations and 4,128 youth were trained under entrepreneurship training programme." Moreover, it was mentioned "eight skills centres were established in TDPs Camps." The Governor was apprised that Shin Kach Dam in F R Tank and Moto Shah Dam in Mohmand Agency have been completed while Kand Dam in North Waziristan Agency and Raghagan Dam in Bajaur Agency are in the process of completion.
