Demo held against 'custodial killing'

Family members of the deceased Sajid Ishaq who was allegedly killed in a police encounter in Orangi Town, held protest near Guru Mandir at MA Jinnah Road, here on Monday. The participants of the demonstration said that Sajid was allegedly arrested by police on July 3, later he was shot and killed. His body had been kept in morgue for more than a couple of weeks; however it was received by heirs on Monday, they added. The deceased left behind three children and a widow.
They said that they have registered a complaint to the Rangers expressing concern that the detainee might be killed in custody. They also demanded early arrest of the police officials allegedly involved in the case.
