IGP orders establishment of driving training school in Karachi

Addressing on the occasion of inauguration of a new block named after former IGP Sindh A.D Khawaja, at the Driving License Branch Clifton, he said to prevent road mishaps, the best thing to do was to issue license to only eligible drivers.

He appreciated the efforts of former IGP A.D Khawaja for equipping Sindh Police with modern technologies. He said the policing system at the police stations level would be modernized to effectively maintain law and order.

Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG-Traffic) Sindh Ghulam Qadir Thebo said that 26 driving license branches were working, while there was a need of four more branches in the province.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Driving License Branch highlighted the facilities including one-window operation and online facility being provided to the masses obtaining driving license.

He informed that Rs.5.33 million were spent on the renovation and other constructive work at all the driving license branches across the province including Nazimabad, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad and Mirpurkhas.

Zonal DIGPs, DIGP-Traffic, Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs), prominent personalities of showbiz including Anwar Maqsood, Javed Sheikh, Behroz Sabzwari and civil society members were present on the occasion.
