Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Meanwhile four more ships Magda-P, Athina, Heilan Spring and RB Leah were scheduled to load/offload 41,900 tonnes Cement. 46,978 tonne Diesel oil/Mogas, 54,960 tonnes Coal and 68,998 tonnes Soya Bean Seeds also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

A total of eight ships MSC Rilboo, MSC Al-Ghero, Bitumen Queen, Paros Sea, Jbu Schelde, Alora, Manuela Bottiglieri and Milahr Qatar were occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Bitumen Coal, Chemicals, Soya been, Palm oil and LNG respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 133,843 tonnes, comprising 114,045 tonnes import cargo and 19,798 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,666 containers (TEUs), (2,624 TEUs imports and 1.042 TEUs exports) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

Three ships, Gas carrier Milahr, Qatar Bulk cargo carrier Paros Sea and Chemicals carrier Jbu Schelde sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while two more ships, MSC Bilbao and Manuela Bottiglieri were expected to sail the same afternoon.

Four Ships, Maersk Hartford, Heilan Spring, Africon Avocel and SC Shen Zhen carrying Containers, Coal and Chemical were expected to take berths at QICT, PIBT, PQEPT and EVTL respectively on Tuesday.

While another containers ship Cont Drawn is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
