Partly Facetious: Zardari, Nawaz need refresher course

02 Jul, 2015

"So Wattoo has done a luttooo..."
"Luttooo?"
"Luttoo as in the spinning toy... you know you wind a string around it and then let the string go and it spins..."
"What the string?"
"No stupid the actual toy."
"In our politics sometimes the string does the spinning."
"Don't be facetious and way when you say Wattoo has done a luttoo you are referring to his personal spin that has led to the mass exodus of jiyalas from the PPP to the PTI."
"Four or five do not constitute a mass exodus."
"Right, but in a party that has what around 8 seats in the provincial assembly and no more than 2 or 3 in the National Assembly from Punjab this is significant; and this in spite of the fact that Zardari sahib selected two prime ministers from Punjab during his tenure!"
"I tell you these Punjabis are an extremely ungrateful lot."
"You are one too."
"Right, which is why I can say it and get away with it... but anyway one of the Punjabi PMs kept the necklace given by the Turkish first lady for our flood victims and the other, commonly referred to as Raja Rental..."
"Oh, leave those two be...the fact remains that even Wattoo's left hand doesn't know what his right hand is doing and so you can't really theorize."
"I don't understand."
"Could it be that he is being given incentives to destroy the PPP and..."
"Does the PPP need his help for that? Besides he is the head honcho in Punjab only for as long as former President Zardari so deems it appropriate and so the fault lies with the leader."
"I see - I would like Zardari sahib to go on a refresher course: what to look for when making appointments to his party...."
"I think Mian sahib could do well with such a refresher course too."
"Right and not to forget the Khan - I mean his induction of disgruntled PPP and PML-N leadership needs a revisit."
"See they all have the first letter P in common: PTI, PML-N and PPP."
"P as in Pakistan right?"
"Oh I thought P as in proud - we make no mistakes ever, proud."
"Don't be facetious."
