Three drown in River Indus in Rajanpur

Three including two women and a girl drowned in an attempt to save a drowning girl here on Monday. Bodies were recovered and handed over to their heirs. Sources said that women of Shabhani Tribe belonging to Marghai area of Rajanpur were present by bank of River Sindh when a girl identified as Raji Mai slipped and fell into the river.
Mother of the drowning girl namely Sabar Mai and another woman Zarakh Mai also jumped into the river to save the girl. All the three were washed away by the gushing waves of the river. Rescue divers and local people through their joint efforts fished out the bodies of the three and handed them over to their families. The victim families have appealed the Chief Minister Punjab for Financial Assistance.
