All previous record of loadshedding broken: Elahi

21 Jun, 2015

Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former chief minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has said the government has broken all previous record of loadshedding after giving the faithful good news of no loadshedding at Sehr and Iftar time, but no power and no water was available at various places to "Rozadars" at Sehr and Iftar time due to power shut down and they were forced to observe fast without eating anything.
Elahi said N-League govt was claiming to end loadshedding but practically it had not yet launched any project which might reduce or end loadshedding, false claimant of generating thousands megawatt of power from Nandipur and other projects were now giving lame excuses.
He said billions of rupees were spent on Nandipur project but it was not functional, production of 1,000 megawatt of power from Quaid-e-Azam Solar Project had also turned out to be a white as only 18 megawatt was being produced from it too. He said govt apathy could well be judged from the fact that it had totally ignored energy sector in the new budget.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said those who were claiming that loadshedding of electricity would be ended in six months and there would be light all over the country now trying to pacify the people after dumping the country into darkness by asking them to "pray for rain as we cannot do anything" this is the height of brutality of the rulers.
