Extortionist arrested

-A joint team of CPLC (Citizens Police Liaison Committee) and SIU (Special Investigation Unit) has arrested an extortionist who demanded Rs 2 million from an employee of insurance company. CPLC Sindh received a complaint from an employee of an insurance company that some unknown person asking him to pay an extortion money of Rs 20 lacs. CPLC Sindh and SIU started working on the case and a joint team was formed to arrest the culprits.
All the ground intelligence and technical expertise utilised positively and as a result a joint raid was conducted in the area of Saddar Karachi. One person named by Vinod Kumar has been arrested who is surprisingly a MBA from a British University and also an IT expert. Culprit was using Skype technology as a tool to commit his crime and has received extortion from other insurance companies in the past as well.
