Prices down on grain market

Less interest among buyers, pushed the rates of commodities lower on the wholesale grain market on Monday in the process of modest trading, they said. On the cereals side, Makai low variety dropped by Rs 350 to Rs 2250 and better type followed the same trend, losing Rs 250 to Rs 2375, Guwar Sindh shed Rs 100 to Rs 3050 and Rs 3150 and Guwar Punjab lost Rs 300 to Rs 4900 and Rs 5000, they said.
On the grams side, yellow peas Russia was down by Rs 75 to Rs 4125 and yellow peas Dall Russian fell by Rs 4600, they said/ On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh inferior quality was lower by Rs 25 to Rs 3175 and the best type shed Rs 50 to Rs 3300, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh new low type was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 1400 and the best quality was down by Rs 50 to Rs 1550, other items maintained week-end levels, they said.
