I felicitate Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry for organising the 38th Export Trophy Awards- 2014 in which awards will be conferred upon the leading exporters of Pakistan in recognition of their exceptional performance this year. I appreciate that FPCCI has consistently adhered to recognising and awarding the contribution of entrepreneurs towards national economy.
??The annual award ceremony feting successful exporters is a very pertinent incentive that goes a long way in encouraging entrepreneurs to take bold initiatives and win a seal of approval from FPCCI, the apex trade and commerce institution of Pakistan. This practice not only rewards the contribution of the private entrepreneurs but it also lays the ground for promoting the image of the country through quality products. I have always commended the vigorous efforts of FPCCI in promoting trade and industry in Pakistan particularly in increasing exports that constitute a viable segment of national economy. I greatly value the steadfast resolve of our exporters to increase the exports potential of Pakistan and explore new markets for diversification of exports. However, I emphasise the need to keep in mind that the export of diverse and value-added items will fetch us more foreign exchange than the sales of traditional products in traditional markets. Pakistan requires more exportable products in addition to textile products that constitute almost fifty percent of the exportable goods.
I reiterate the resolve of government to facilitate the business community in their efforts to boost Pakistani exports. I commend FPCCI for encouraging trade endeavours in Pakistan and congratulate them in holding this prestigious award ceremony. I also felicitate the award winners and hope that they will continue contributing valuably towards their goals. I wish them greater success in future.
