Easier trend persists on grain market

A downward trend was again witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Urad Burma failed to maintain overnight gains, losing Rs 312 to Rs 12625, dealers said. On the grams sector, grams 50x50 lost Rs 100 to Rs 7400, yellow peas Russia shed the same amount to Rs 4200 and yellow peas Dall Russia fell by Rs 100 to Rs 4700, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh dropped by Rs 50 to Rs 3200 and Rs 3300, other varieties were unchanged, they said. On the seeds side, rapeseeds Nawabshah old and Mirpurlane new were down by Rs 25 to Rs 1975 and Rs 2000, cakes were lower by Rs 60 to Rs 1150 and Rs 1175, cottonseeds oilcake with bag, low variety was inert at Rs 1550 while the best type was up by Rs 25 to Rs 1600, they added.
