NADRA employees to hold demo before regional office

NADRA Employees Union (NEU) Hyderabad Region would stage a demonstration in front of NADRA Regional Head Office Karachi over harassing the employees especially union members and non-acceptance of their demands. General Secretary NEU Hyderabad, Adel Ahmed Memon said this in a press conference held on Wednesday at Hyderabad Press Club (HPC).
He said that as many as 18,000 employees were working with NADRA and the federal government had regularised services of 14,700 employees but unfortunately, regularized employees were denied various allowances including medial since then. "The employees of NADRA are protesting for long against non-acceptance of their demands such as service structure, proper scale, federal benefits, medial allowances, House Hiring and other allowances," he said. They also held the meeting with Chairman NADRA and in the meeting, he also assured them to accept their demands, he said, adding nothing has been done so far despite four months have passed.
The police is being sent to the houses of employees to harass them and besides, the employees are transferred, he said. If the victimisation against them was not stopped and besides, their demands were not accepted, they would surround NADRA regional Office Karachi, he warned. The protest would continue until their demands were not accepted, he said.
