Protest held in Multan: lawyers express solidarity with Rohingya Muslims

Lawyers in Multan on Wednesday staged a protetst at Kutchehry Chowk to express solidarity with Rohingya Muslims and to condemn the brutalities against them. They burnt the flags of Myanmar, Bangladesh and India and the effigies of Hasina Wajid, Nirendra Modi and Thein Sein. The demo was led by Mehmood Ashraf Khan, President and Khalid Masood Ghani, General Secretary of District Bar Multan.
They also burnt the flag of UN Security Council for its mysterious silence on the killing of Muslims in Myanmar. The lawyers urged the government to raise this issue in UN Security Council. Various protests were also staged by the traders and civil society members in Multan to support Rohingya Muslims.
