Microsoft's digital assistant, Cortana, coming out for Android, iOS

08 Jun, 2015

The computerised personal assistant field - currently dominated by Apple's Siri and Google's Now - is going to get a little more crowded now that Microsoft has plans to bring its assistant, Cortana, to market with versions for both Windows and iOS.
Timed to coincide with the launch of Windows 10 in the third quarter, it will also come with an app that makes it compatible with iPhones and Android smartphones. Voice activation of programmes will also be limited to Windows PCs and smartphones.
