Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Revenue, Ali Amin Gandapur, who was arrested for allegedly carrying ballots from polling stations during local bodies' elections in Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday, granted bail after one-day physical remand. According to details, KP Minister Amin Gandapur was arrested after two cases registered against him. He was accused of pointing guns at policemen and taking away ballots boxes from a polling station.
Gandapur was handed over to the KP Police on one-day physical remand by a court in D I Khan. The KP minister took away ballots boxes in his car along with his brother Umar Amin Gandapur, a candidate for Tehsil Nazim when the vote count was underway at the Hemath Adda polling station. However, he has been granted bail in both cases against Rs 90,000 for each. The police tried to stop the ruling party's minister however failed and resorted to silence.
