On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) value traded was PKR 2.231 billion as compared to PKR 2.203 billion. The number of lots traded were 14,397 and PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,742. Major business was contributed by crude oil amounting to PKR 1.548 billion, posting 4 percent increase when compared to the previous trading day. This was followed by gold (PKR 657 million), silver (PKR 22 million) and cotton (PKR 3.6 million).
