E-stamp paper being introduced in Lahore on June 8

Senior Member Board of Revenue Nadeem Ashraf has announced that the electronic stamp paper will be introduced in Lahore on June 8, to combat forger mafia after which its scope will be expanded throughout the province. He said the person purchasing the stamp paper would be told through SMS with a fine form 32-A through computer after provision of complete information.
His announcement came in a top meeting which also saw the information additional secretary, the co-operative secretary, the tax member, IT representatives and officers of the Finance and Excise Departments. The senior member of the Board of Revenue said the mission of the Punjab Chief Minister to let the province corruption free and foil the nefarious designs of forgers was being implemented. "Forger mafia deserves no sympathy and leniency. Awareness seminars will be held in Lahore and other cities regarding the benefit of electronic stamp paper and its importance in future. Because of the electronic stamp papers every kind of land will be saved and no irregularity will be made in electronic stamp papers besides government will also collect revenue in a better manner," he added.
