Rana Sanaullah, Ayesha Ghous take oath as Punjab ministers

Rana Sanaullah and Dr Ayesha Ghaus Malik on Friday took oath as provincial ministers in a ceremony held at Governor's House, here on Friday. With the induction of the ministers, the number of Cabinet members has now reached 21. Governor Rafique Rajwana administered the oath to the ministers in the ceremony, which was also attended by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other provincial dignitaries.
Rana Sanaullah Khan has been given the portfolio of Law while Dr Ayesha Ghous, who is member of Social Policy & Development Centre Think Tank and wife of former finance minister Dr Hafeez Pasha, has been given Finance Ministry. Rana Sanaullah, who was removed as Law Minister last year in the wake of Model Town tragedy, during which at least 11 Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers were killed, has staged a comeback after a Joint Investigation Team constituted to probe into the tragedy, cleared him name.
The JIT was headed by CCPO Quetta Abdul Razzaq Cheema, AIG Discipline at CPO SSP Shehzad Akbar, DSP CIA Khalid Abubakar and one official each from the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), Intelligence Bureau (IB). After taking oath, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan said that the statements of Imran Khan were proof of his being mentally upset and he has always been doing the politics of lies and levelling baseless allegations. He said it would be better if Imran Khan should peep into his conscience before making character assassination of others. Sanaullah said that those dreaming of power have been disappointed and they should know that every decision cannot be taken as per Imran's desires.
