Kati welcomes consensus on CPEC

Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (Kati) Patron-in-chief S M Muneer, Kati President Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui and Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan have welcomed political consensus on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. They said that CPEC would not only bring economic prosperity in Pakistan but would also have a positive impact on entire central Asian economies. Muneer said that China had always supported Pakistan and this project would further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
He said that the government was working on several power projects, which would help reduce electricity shortfall in the country. He said that law and order situation in Pakistan as well as in Karachi had improved considerably. Muneer said that the visits of heads of states of different countries to Pakistan were also a positive sign that would open new avenues of economic growth.
The Kati President said that consensus of political leadership on CPEC was a positive step. He urged upon the political leadership to also hold an All Parties Conference on other issues of national importance. Siddiqui stressed the need for implementing the projects under CPEC in a transparent manner and in consultation with all stakeholders. Speaking on the occasion, Haseeb Khan said that the agreement of political leadership on CPEC showed a national unity.-PR
