Non-implementation of PHC verdict NADRA employees observe hunger strike

The employees of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Tuesday staged a hunger strike demanding of the government to announce proper scales with service structure for the employees along with increase in other allowances. The employees of NADRA from across the country staged a hunger strike in front of NADRA headquarters against the delay in the implementation of Peshawar High Court decision regarding proper service structure and increase in other allowances. The protest was led by Saleem Sherpao, President All Pakistan NADRA employees union.
PTI vice-president Shah Mehmood Qureshi met protesting NADRA employees and assured them to raise the issue on the floor of National Assembly. The participants of the protest were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of their demands. The protesters warned that if government failed to announce proper scale with service structure, medical penal and up gradation, they would further prolong their protest. The protesters were of the view that not a single demand of NADRA employees was fulfilled despite the passage of 90 days of the agreement reached between NADAR employees union and NADRA Chairman.
