AIMS holds free medical camp for diabetic patients

Abasin Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) arranged a free medical camp for creating awareness, adopting of preventive measures and provision of free treatment for diabetic patients here at Diabetic Hospital & Research Centre, Hayatabad. During the camp senior doctors carried out free check-up of diabetic patients and beside free medical test they were also provided free medicines.
Founder and Chief Executive, Diabetic Centre, Professor Dr Ziaul Hassan, Medical Director Dr Shaukat Hayat, Director Community Health Services, Ayaz Mujahid and other senior doctors were also present in the camp. During the medical camp the patients were provided free insulin and free medical tests were also carried for cardiovascular, kidneys, tooth, eye-screening and other disease caused by the diabetes. The patients were also provided prescribed medicines.
Speaking on the occasion, the Founder and Chief Executive, of Diabetic Centre, Professor Dr Ziaul Hassan told that the organisation is providing world standard treatment to patients totally free and 50 patients are being checked in OPD on daily basis. He said that the organization is providing free insulin to patients for last 10 years and also conducting medical camps across the province on monthly basis during which the diabetic patients are provided all facilities while a workshop of local and foreign experts is organized on quarter basis.
It has a worth to mention here that Diabetic Hospital & Research Centre, Hayatabad established in partnership with Professor Dr Ziaul Hassan of AIMS is the single diabetic hospital and research centre of the nature in the province, which providing free best standard medical treatment to the patients. The number of the registered patients with the institute from the province has reached the figure of 5000.
