Man killed, FC personnel hurt in Quetta blast

A man was killed and four others including Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were injured when a bomb exploded near a security forces vehicle here on Friday. Police said that the incident occurred near a hotel on Qambrani road area on the outskirts of the city. The bomb exploded just as a security forces vehicle was passing through the sight. As a result of the blast a man killed on the spot while FC personnel and a passer-by sustained wounds who were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment.
Police said that the explosive material was planted in a rickshaw. The blast also damaged four other rickshaws and two buses. Later FC officials and CCPO Quetta, Abdul Razzaq Cheema visited the scene of blast. The CCPO said that 80 to 100 kilogram explosives material was used in the attack.
