Chinese investors, KP governor discuss security issues

A delegation of Chinese investors called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan here at Governor's House on Friday. The delegation was headed by Zhang Yaun (Manager of Zhongnan Engineering Corporation Limited) and discussed specifically about investment in hydro-power sector.
Talking on the occasion, the Governor said that peace and harmony are now prevailing in Pakistan as a result of successful military operation and now the time is ripe for availing investment opportunities in various sector especially in hydropower in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA through involving local and foreign investors. He assured the Chinese delegation "proper security will be provided to Chinese investors in Pakistan but they should come forward with a concrete and proper plan". He said that foreign investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA will create conducive environment for availing employment opportunities and generating economic activities. "There are extensive opportunities of hydropower investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA and they should get benefit of it through investment", he concluded.
