A 10-year-old girl was killed and at least nine visitors were injured. The injured were shifted to Jinnah hospital.

Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar has demanded inquiry into the incident, saying that the park was made operational without a test and safety measures.

The park was inaugurated on Eid-ul-Fitr in June.

Meanwhile, caretaker Chief Minister Fazl Urrehman took notice of the incident, directing health officials to provide all out health facilities to the injured.

The park has been closed for the general public.
