RAWALPINDI: The Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench Wednesday directed the anti-narcotics court to give judgment in the ephedrine case against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Hanif Abbasi, till July 21.

Justice Abdul Rehman Lodhi of the LHC, while hearing the petition filed by Shahid Orakzai, ordered that the proceedings of the case be carried out on daily basis from July 16 to 21.

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) had registered a case against Abbasi and his accomplices in June 2012 under various sections of the Anti Narcotics Act.

Earlier, Abbasi along with other accused, including his brother, were indicted in 2014 by the CNS Court.

It may be added that Hanif Abbasi is contesting election on the PML-N ticket in NA-60 constituency against Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.
