Pentangular Cup one-day championship shifted to Karachi

27 Dec, 2014

Due to prevailing weather conditions, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has moved the five-team Pentangular Cup one-day championship from Multan to Karachi's National Stadium. "Owing to unusually foggy conditions at Multan, after consultation with the Karachi administration and the latter's reassurance of total support in matters of security and other issues, the event has been shifted from Multan to Karachi. Despite this unexpected development, the scheduled dates (December 31, 2014-January 10, 2015) remain unchanged", said the PCB spokesman.
The five participating teams for the event are: Punjab Badshahs, Balochistan Warriors, Sindh Knights, Federal United and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Fighters). The top two teams emerging from the single league would qualify for the Final.
It may be noted that the main and presenting sponsors of the event are Haier and Cool & Cool respectively.
