Terrorists to be punished to honour the blood of martyrs: Mamnoon

President Mamnoon Hussain Friday said the exemplary punishment would be awarded to the terrorists as government fully honours the blood of martyrs. "Today, a day of celebration, reminds me martyrdom of my innocent children who were killed for no reason and no sin," he said while addressing at the 8th convocation of Bolan Medical College (BMC) at Governor House here.
He said that government was determined to eliminate terrorism and extremism by launching crackdown against the terrorists. "The concerted strategy adopted by the government would make Pakistan strong, invincible and peaceful," he maintained.
Expressing his soft corner and special attention he keeps for the people of Balochistan, President Mamnoon said that Balochistan always remained at top of his priorities. Terrorists he said have no more time to proceed with their nefarious designs and warned them to surrender else wait for an exemplary punishment.
President noted that resolution of the issues faced by the people of Balochistan was top priority of the government adding that Balochistan would soon be brought at par with the developed areas of the country. He said that earlier, Balochistan on account of corruption and numerous other reasons was a backward province as financial resources and funds provided by the federal government were not being spent in letter and spirit for its development.
"Credit goes to PM Nawaz Sharif led federal government who took practical measures to make this province developed," he maintained.
He urged parliamentarians and other people to support the government to curb terrorism permanently.
President Mamnoon said that the government was making efforts to overcome menaces of terrorism and corruption.
He said that the government wants to provide all necessary facilities to masses despite having meagre financial resources. President on the occasion congratulated the passing out graduates and urged them to serve in their native towns.
Substantiating his plea he said the Mother and Child Mortality Rate is highest in Balochistan as compared to other provinces. The reason behind he added was doctors unwillingness to work at rural areas.
He lauded the up gradation of BMC to University and assured his all-out help for the resolution of issues faced by the government of Balochistan.
Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Governor Balochistan Mohammad Khan Achakzai, Minister for Health Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch, Principal Bolan Medical College Professor Saadat Barozai also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, degrees were conferred on the passed out graduates of the Bolan Medical College.
