KP Governor's message on Quaid's birth anniversary

25 Dec, 2014

"Nations arise and reach high levels of respect and identity on the world's map and move forward as active partners of the world comity in seeking common human good. Today, we Pakistanis while celebrating the Birth Anniversary of the Founder of our beloved country Pakistan, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah realise the gravity of the challenges we face and the magnitude of the responsibilities which we are carrying forward to translate the vision of ensuring well-being of our citizens and making the future better for the coming generations.
While congratulating the countrymen in general and people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA in particular on this auspicious occasion, I am conscious of their expectations. The enormous challenges which we as a nation have to surmount in our quest for taking our beloved motherland forward on the path of progress and prosperity demands constant struggle with staunch commitment to pursuit as national goals.
This year's, this day remain somber we are because of the tragic incident of martyrdom of our children at the hands of the terrorists. We as a nation can never overlook the ultimate sacrifices of our innocent citizens. I must take the privilege to assure the bereaved families that the entire nation fully shares their grief. To me, maintaining complete unity and cohesion in our rank and file as a nation; making best management of the available resources and ensuring active and productive contribution towards achievement of the cherished goals in line with the dreams of the founder of the nation is the foremost requirement in making all this possible. This singular aspect can be the best tribute to the sacrifices which the Muslims of Indian Sub-continent had rendered under the able leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah."
