APS tragedy unites nation against terrorism: Pervez

Former Chief Minister Punjab, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has said that the tragedy of Army Public School (APS) has united the whole nation against the terrorism. Addressing a news conference here in Peshawar Press Club (PPC) Friday, he said that the whole nation has joined hands against terrorists.
Former provincial minister Punjab, Raja Mohammad Basharat, provincial president PML-Q KP, Intikhab Khan, Ajmal Wazir and a large number of other party activists flanked the former chief minister on this occasion. Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said that the terrorists had attacked the future and hopes of the nation and there is no difference of opinion that till national and collective efforts the nation would not be got rid of it. He said that the terrorism is not only harmful for Pakistan, rather for the whole world. Therefore, he said the whole world has condemned the incident.
Welcoming the constitution of the parliamentary committee on national security, he said that whatever decisions taken for national security should be implemented in letter and spirit and demanded of federal and provincial governments for concentrating maximum resources on the eradication of terrorism.
He also paid tributes to the role of Pakistan Army against terrorism, which had always rendered the sacrifices of their lives in every critical time and had never let the nation down and today the nation is standing behind them. During the one-day visit, the former chief minister Punjab also met Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak. Earlier, on arrival in Peshawar, he visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) and Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) and inquired about the health of the injured children, which he found in high spirit.
