A launch ceremony was held at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) on November 25, for MCB Bank Ltd's exciting new product, "MCB Lite." The cashless drive was inaugurated by the LUMS Vice Chancellor, Dr Sohail Naqvi at the LUMS Pepsi Dining Centre. A panel of MCB representatives was also present at the inauguration, including, Zargham Khan Durrani, Group Head, Retail Banking, MCB, Ali Naqvi, Digital Banking Head. Sohail Malik, Head Sales, Loyalty and Alliances and Mustapha Altaf Saleem, Relationship Manager MCB for LUMS.
MCB and LUMS signed a MoU earlier in the year to work together on making LUMS the only cashless campus in Pakistan where faculty, students and staff would be able to carry out transactions using their MCB Lite Visa Debit Cards and mobile phones. Having introduced the MCB Lite card to the LUMS community, the latest step has been the installation of a mobile point-of-sale (POS) terminal at the university's Pepsi Dining Centre.-PR
