Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Rauf Siddiqui flayed PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan for criticising MQM chief Altaf Hussain and asked him not to advise MQM. Addressing a press conference at Khursheed Begum Secretariat Azizabad, he said that if there would be more provinces in Sindh then Thari children would not die of famine.
He said that MQM Chief Altaf Hussain had supported PPP government at difficult times. "Hussain is the only hope of deprived and unprivileged people of Sindh. He lived in the heart of peasants and farmers of Sindh who were being deprived of their fundamental rights by the feudal and landlords," he added.
He said that Pakistan came into being due to the sacrifices of his forefathers and they migrated to the newly-incepted country following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The former provincial minister said that Khursheed Shah termed the word "Mohajir" as an abuse and PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan supported his comment and without any reason criticised MQM Chief Altaf Hussain.
"MQM is a liberal and enlightened political party but not guiding the line of atheism and always stands against any blasphemous attempt," he added. To a question, Siddiqui said that people, who claimed MQM a terrorist organisation, were responsible for thousands of extra-judicial killings of innocent MQM workers. He questioned that as to who had been patronising Rehman Dacoit and Lyari gangs.
