KP Assembly condemns suicide attack on Fazl

-Speaker, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Asad Qaiser on Thursday, condemned the attack on JUI-F Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman in Quetta and adjourned the proceedings of the house to express solidarity with him. The session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has been summoned after a long period of four month. The routine proceedings of the house were in progress while Mohammad Arif Ahmadzai of PTI and Jaffar Shah of ANP presented their call attention notices.
Mohammad Arif Ahmadzai diverted the attention of the house towards illegal bus stands and encroachments on Charsadda Road from Bacha Khan Chowk to Naguman Chowk which is causing traffic jam. He called for immediate abolition of illegal bus stands with immediate effect and conducting operation against encroachments. Jaffar Shah of ANP through his call attention notice demanded financial assistance for families of the seventeen persons killed in a gruesome accident on Kalam Road.
During the proceedings, Provincial Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Imtiaz Shahid Qureshi presented the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Speaker & Deputy Speaker's (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2014, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zakat and Ushr (Amendment) Ordinance, 2014, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Citizens Ordinance, 2014 in the house.
Furthermore, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Environmental Protection Bill, 2014, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Injured Persons and Emergency (Medical Aid) Bill, 2014, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hindu Disposition of Property Bill, 2014 and The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Protection of Communal Properties of Minorities Bill, 2014 were also presented in the house.
After the presentation of these legislations, next item on the agenda was the speeches of opposition. However, after receiving the news of attack on Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, the Speaker condemned the incident on behalf of the whole house and adjourned the proceedings of the house till Friday 2:00 PM to express solidarity with JUI-F.
