The city police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested 50 alleged criminals in different targeted operations and encounters in different parts of the provincial metropolis during last 24 hours. The police said in 93 raids and three encounters carried out as part of the ongoing operation against criminals, target killers, terrorists, kidnappers, extortionists, and narcotics dealers in Karachi led to the arrests of 50 criminals who were allegedly involved in various criminal activities in Karachi.
The police booked 15 criminals under the Arms Act and 10 others booked under the Anti-Narcotics Act. During the raid the police have arrested four robbers, two murderers, two terrorists, four absconders and eight others involved in different criminal activities. The police said they have recovered 20 hand-guns, 21 grenades, 990 grams of heroin and 145 grams of charas from their possession.
