Country receives $764 million foreign inflows in first quarter

The country received $764 million external resources during the first quarter of the current fiscal year (July-September) against the budgeted $7.4 billion, data released by the Economic Affairs Division showed here on Wednesday. China emerged as the largest donor disbursing $295 million out of $1.462 billion budgeted for the current fiscal year. The second largest disburser of assistance was Asian Development Bank with $160 million with a total of $1.092 billion budgeted from the Bank for the current financial year.
Islamic Development Bank disbursed $147 million out of $580 million budgeted for financial year 2014-15. Pakistan received $78 million from United Kingdom against budgeted $246 millions; World Bank disbursed $52 million against budgeted $1.86 billion, US provided $8 million against the pledged amount of $358 million while others released $24 million out of budgeted $527 million. According to data Pakistan received no disbursement from Saudi Arabia, Bank Holder and consortium of commercial banks. Pakistan budgeted $171 million from Saudi Arabia, $1 billion from bank holder and $100 million from consortium of commercial banks.
