Journalists killed in Balochistan: Prime Minister urged to approve compensation

Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has written a letter to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for approving and announcing the compensation for the Journalists killed in Balochistan on purely humanitarian grounds. According to the Letter, "during visit to Balochistan Quetta, on Saturday October 11, 2014, a delegation of journalists headed by Saleem Shahid, had a meeting with me. During the meeting, matter regarding compensation to the Balochistan-based journalists killed in target killings was also discussed.
The families of those killed need help because the Journalists perform their duties in a very risky/dangerous atmosphere and the services rendered by them needs to be acknowledged. Therefore, government may compensate them. A list of such journalist, killed in Balochistan is enclosed. Grant of compensation will be a good gesture of government in the journalist community in the prevailing situation. I shall be grateful if you could approve and announce the compensation to the Journalists killed in Balochistan "on purely humanitarian grounds,"
